The journey of Educational Consultancy Services (ECS)
Where It All Began
2014Educational Consultancy Services (ECS) was founded from the garage of Mrs. Katthage's home with a vision to provide personalised educational support to learners and families in Namibia.
Expanding Our Services
2015As demand grew, ECS relocated to offices at Maerua Mall. During this period, we broadened our services to include Aftercare programmes, NBI Brain Profiling, Early Childhood Development (ECD) courses, and support for primary learners following the IMPAK curriculum.
Embracing International Education
2017Following an approach from Cambrilearn, ECS expanded into a larger campus to accommodate a growing student body. This marked the beginning of our journey in offering internationally recognised online education through the Cambridge curriculum, allowing us to serve even more learners across Namibia.
Pursuing Better Learning Solutions
2023Committed to continually improving our educational offering, our Principal Owner explored alternative learning platforms for our secondary students. After extensive research, ECS adopted GenEx for secondary learners, while continuing to utilise Cambrilearn for primary education. This transition ensured our students benefited from a more effective and engaging online learning experience.
Discovering a Game-Changer
2025Innovation has always been at the heart of ECS. In 2025, we discovered Toddle—a world-class learning management platform. Following months of research, consultations, and collaboration with the Toddle team, we made the strategic decision to transition to a platform that better supports student engagement, academic success, and communication between students, teachers, and parents.
A New Era with Toddle
2026The successful integration of Toddle marked the beginning of a new chapter for ECS and Horizon College. Today, our students benefit from a modern, intuitive learning environment that enhances collaboration, streamlines communication, and provides a richer educational experience aligned with international best practices.
